Booking Engine Appearance:
Using the basic adjustments, you can change the colour scheme as you like, in most cases to match the general feel of your property website. To take it further you are able to code templates for your booking engine and include your logo, background and additional texts. By doing this you can create your own booking engine which looks and feels like your own website.
Terms & Conditions:
Define your own terms and conditions for your bookings - cancellation periods and fees, special requirements, basically what ever you need! Your guests must accept your terms and conditions to complete their booking, and the information is included in their confirmation email.
Units & Categories:
Every property is different and what they provide is different. By being able to set your own categories, units and descriptions it means you can inform your potential guests in the best possible way what you are offering! Max has provided 3 standard categories - Apartments, Private Rooms and Dormitories. However there is no limit to what you can set up - Camp Sites, Bungalows, Suites, Cabins, Deluxe Rooms and so on. Not only that, but you can also set up Tours, Meals, Activities, Parking Spaces, what ever other add-ons you like.
Booking Settings:
Set or update your booking settings with immediate effect. Each setting is made individually per category to best meet your requirements. Settings include minimum stay, no check out, advance booking period, maximum booking period, maximum people per booking, maximum units per booking, and more.
Integration:
A number of methods are available for integrating your Max Booking engine. Simple coding is provided in your Admin centre which you can then simply copy and paste into your websites code.
- Booking Widget - we highly recommend this method of integration. By placing the code into your websites general template you allow guests to search quickly and easily from every page on your site. A simple box will be displayed where guests enter their criteria and results will be displayed in a new window, keeping your site open. Booking widgets available on every page have proven to increase bookings and of course in turn occupancy and revenue.
- Facebook Widget - similar to the booking widget, however designed specifically for your Facebook profile. This then allows your guests to search for accommodation directly from your Facebook profile. Step by step guide on setup and coding is provided.
- External Link - the most basic form of integration whereby you simply provide a link from your website to your Max Booking Engine. This can also be used in emails or other promotional material.
- Pop-up with JavaScript - similar to an external link in setup, however your booking engine will open in a new window, keeping your website open as well.
- iFrames - Max does not support the use of iFrames for integration. While this form of integration can appear nicely, the security concerns are of higher importance. By using the template feature for customization you can obtain a superior result without compromising on security.
CONNECTIVITY / PORTAL MANAGEMENT
Max has designed a full, industry standard API based on the Open Travel Alliance (OTA) standards.
By using the Max API you can now connect your Property Management System (PMS) with Max!
PMS with existing API set up:
- CMS - provide both online and desktop solutions for all property types
- ASSD - provide a desktop solution for all property types
Portal Management is another hot topic on connectivity. With a never ending increase in portals, the task of maintaining your allocations and prices (not to mention data and pictures) increases exponentially. Rate and availability parity teams constantly bomb properties with emails and phone calls, requesting better rates and allocations because of what another portal offers. How can you run your property efficiently if you have to constantly ensure all portals offer the same deals!?
At Max we have taken on the task of connecting you with as many portals as possible to reduce your workload in maintaining them. By providing an interface from Max to these portals, your allocations and prices - in some cases also your booking settings - are updated automatically at regular intervals throughout the day... and while you sleep! Further, your bookings received via these portals will be transferred into your Max Admin centre so you have them all 'under one roof'.
We aim to provide these connections at the lowest possible rate. Many portal management companies charge large fees for this kind of software; however in keeping true to our beliefs Max will only charge minimal fees to cover the ongoing development and support involved in this service.
With the Max Booking Interface you can also manipulate the data which you send, with allowance for rate change, multiple room allocation, close our dates, minimum stays,...
PRICING
We have designed various features to help you increase your occupancy and over all revenue. Pricing is one of the most important factors to consider; unfortunately we cannot define your price but with these features you can work with your price to increase your potential!
Flexible Rooms:
Many properties sell one room at a different rate depending on its occupancy. But in most cases it is possible to only advertise the room at one rate. Or take the chance on overbooking by setting the same room up multiple times to sell at multiple rates. With flexible rooming you can sell the one room, with one allocation, at a flexible rate depending on how many people the room will be booked for. For example a triple room might be sold as a single, double or triple at different rates, but for the exact same allocation.
Yield Management:
Filling up... increase your rates... low occupancy, drop them... the choice is yours how your yield management should adjust your rates and based on what. The system works on 3 criteria - time period (how many days in advance the booking is for), occupancy level (how full your units/category is), and rate change percentage (how should the rate be adjusted, up or down and by how much).
Discounts:
This section allows you to set up discounts either as a percent or as a fixed amount. These discounts are available to anyone who is booking via your Max Booking Engine. Discounts can be set up for a certain category or the whole property, and with a defined time period. They are commonly used for multi-day bookings or special offers.
Promotional Codes:
Set up your own list of promotional codes, list them in advertising, give them to friends, returning or special guests, send them out to other properties, the options are endless... Using promotional codes you can provide a special discount or free add-on to anyone who has the code and the booking meets its requirements. Your guests will enter the code during the booking process to receive the discount or information of their add-on.
Seasons:
With Max you are able to set up as many seasons in the year as you like. Not only that, each season setup is made separately allowing you to have different season periods for each category.
Using seasons allows you to set up a range of prices throughout the year so you can take advantage of busy (and slow) times by pricing accordingly.
Mass Updates:
In addition to seasons, a feature for making 'mass updates' is available which allows you to set prices, allocations and minimum stays for a period of up to 60 days at a time.
LANGUAGES
The world is a large and varied place full of different cultures, foods, traditions, and of course languages! By adding numerous translations to your booking engine you can better serve and meet the needs of your guests.
Not everyone can understand the native language of your country or English. Some simple translations can help them to book with confidence, comply with your conditions and follow your directions with ease.
Max has already set up the support structure for a total of 18 languages, now all you need to do is select which ones you wish to add translations for and start adding them!
Supported Languages:
English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Czech, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Dutch, Polish, Russian, Slovak, Swedish, Vietnamese and Chinese.
Every section where you can insert your custom text is possible to add translated texts! This includes, but is not limited to, categories, units, descriptions, terms & conditions, directions, discounts, customer feedback, and more. Max already has the standard texts set up in these languages and are available for guests to choose from.
The Admin centre itself is currently available in both English and German. At this time we feel this is sufficient, however we may expand on this once we have tackled the larger tasks of implementing new features and options!
CUSTOMER FEEDBACK
The Max customer feedback feature allows you to set up your very own feedback form. Ask the questions that mean most to you, personalize them, and obtain the knowledge from your guests on what you're doing right, or wrong.
Every business is different, so not only should its booking engine be its own but also its customer feedback. Set up you own questions and answers for numerical rating, defined answer selection, or text feedback. An automated email will be sent to your guest at a time when you decide, be it the day after departure, 2 days or one week.
